Hebron Academy’s 60,000 square foot athletic complex incorporates energy efficient measures consistent with the Academy’s desire to be a good environmental steward.
The Maine AIA award winning complex features sustainable design elements including:
- Daylighting and high performance glass;
- Occupancy sensors;
- CO2 monitoring;
- Rapidly renewable interiors’ materials;
- Low VOC paint and carpet;
- An energy efficient building envelope.
Marrying athletics and academics, colored panels and glass surfaces count out mathematical sequences including Pi, Euler’s Constant and Phi.
