In 2011 architects Durbiano Reinerio Architetti were invited to restore the historic Palazzo in Piazza Bernini in Turin, Italy (built in 1889 by Giuseppe Davicini) for the headquarters of the Compagnia di San Paolo.
Bonded Series partition walls were introduced to divide the space while honoring the character of the original architecture. With muted satin facings and nearly invisible ClearConnect panel seams, double-walled Bonded Series panels provide a luminous, acoustic office partition system throughout the space that highlights rather than conflicts with the original materials and spatial quality of the building.
This project also highlights the extent to which panels can be customized with high-quality pre-fabrication; in this case panels are cut to multiple complex custom sizes to accommodate the original structure of the building.
